VTC Machining
Vertical Turret CNC (VTC) machining of a large component measuring 1.6 meters in diameter and 1 meter in length involves the use of a vertical turret lathe equipped with advanced CNC controls. This setup is ideal for machining large, heavy, and complex cylindrical parts with high precision.
The workpiece is mounted on a large rotating table that turns around a vertical axis, allowing the cutting tools mounted on the turret to machine the part from above. The vertical orientation helps in better chip removal and stability, especially for heavy components, reducing deformation caused by gravity.
